it used to be funny, like a year ago, when it was just "i'm in ur..." captions. and now it's just out of hand with 90% being duds.

Okay, that was my initial suspicion but I was wondering if there was some backstory to it all that I'm missing out on, aside from the cats in humourous poses.

Well, only sort of. Apparently it's all derived from when some dude was playing Halo online and was all like "I'm in ur base, killin ur dudes." How this exploded into a whole internet meme, who can say?

Okay, that's the backstory I was wondering about. The use of 'ur' was a little befuddling to me, so I assumed there had to be something else to it.
