just got done watching this finally. the thing is, the guy who did the film went to my college and did this big in-depth screening before it came out, but i had some meeting or exam to worry about, so i lamed out.

but shit, talk about your well-done, honest examinations of music and pop culture.

fellow musicians - did you find yourselves relating to the folks being interviewed? the sense of humor, knowledge of other bands, and general apprehension thing? man, that so completely reminded me of folks here, minus the whole ginormous rock success thing, of course.

anyhow, if you haven't seen this yet and have been putting it off because, well, it's about the seattle scene and gosh that's so not hip, definitely ditch the hipster mentality for a 90 minutes. it's such a spot-on telling of how scenes and rock music is developed into a big thing...definitely judgemental, but i'd rather watch a documentary questioning all of this shit, than a celebratory circle jerk, ya know?

well, i spent all day listening to music. we were in the studio today, basically finding a good drum sound in this new room. it's surprising how excited we were about repositioning the kit in various places. yeah!

yeah, it's blizzard enough. at least a foot in the past 4 hours. the wind has been tough at points, mostly to the point of streetsigns blowing in the wind. most of the show in town tonight were cancelled unless a room guarantee was somehow in doubt of being secured, etc.

so, yeah, Troy. could be the funniest movie ever made...

It's been a movie day/evening for me too. I got 2 movies in the mail from Blockbuster, and used 2 freebie coupons at the Blockbuster around the corner. Man, that place was packed (as expected on a day like this).

Things I watched today:
Fahrenhype 9/11
Jackass Vol. 2
Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator

Up Next:
The Terminal

I found it absolutely hilarious when they decided to stick a politcal message in there. The rest was just a bore.

A movie I openly hated so much that if i had seen it in the theatre I would have demanded my money back.

Really, it's only redeeming quality is Brad Pitt's naked butt, and I'm straight, so...there ya go.

Hmm...I got it for free dollars, so hopefully I won't feel too angry if it sucks.

Pop in Neko's Blacklisted on the headphones and be nostalgic for things past and yet to come as you watch the snow tap the panes.

np: I wish I was the Moon-Neko (one of the most beautiful songs ever)
