 Post subject: Obner Reporting 'LIVE' from SXSW 2007

Though it has been "flagged by Brentano's," I'm bringing my trusty Treo 650 mobile communication device with me to SXSW 2007, so I can file "live reports" during my time in Austin.

A short while back, I rigged up some sort of janky connection between my Flickr account, my Blogger account and my Treo to enable me to take a photo, e-mail it with additional text, and post it to my blog all in one fell swoop.

Keep in mind, it's a cell phone camera, so it's roughly got the resolution of a LeRoi Neiman painting viewed through Harry Caray's glasses. But, I refuse to let that deter me from my intrepid duties as Obner's eyes and ears on the scene!

To check out updates, go to http://allballnow.blogspot.com and please forgive all of the "You have new Picture Mail!" blog headings, as Sprint e-mails with photos default to that heading without providing the option to change it. So, I won't be able to go back in and edit the blog headings until I'm at an actual PC.

Even so, enjoy all the pseudo-real time lo-res fun!!!

walking around mode? how many times have you passed out at my bar so far? My count is somewhere around 2-3. my coworker wanted to kick shiv out last night, thinking there was a stray bum on the nod sitting in front of my laptop.

just to put this in perspective, i think that shiv may have had as many as 10 jack and gingers today - and the 4 or 5 i poured were heavy handed as fuck. AND he had beer.

i'm glad that shiv came with his liver prepared - he's drinking like a champ already and the music hasn't even started yet.
