Hey Stacey - How was Gomez and Ben Kweller?

Oh, hey Dov. I knew you'd be interested in hearing how the show was.

I know you're a huge Ben Kweller fan and I do enjoy him. He's just a lot of fun to watch. His live stuff is very true to what you hear on the discs you so gingerly adore. I'd see him a third, forth and fifth time easily.

I was actually not terribly familiar with Gomez besides their latest disc and while I enjoyed it, I was a bit under-whelmed by it, but seeing them live revived my interest and did breath new life in it for me. I'm interested in hearing their earlier discs now.

Gomez recently put out a 2xCD retrospective which I think you will enjoy.

Did you know I was friends with Ben Kweller back in the day before he became a quasi indie rock sensation?

No, but could you contact him now, because the teenybopper-ish girls I was crammed at the front of the stage with would totally spend oodles on an autograph. They squealed when he took his hat off, causing me to almost turn around and say 'You can only squeak like that if he takes his shirt off'. I'll split the profits with you.
