so i've got one of my best buddies coming into town this weekend for opening day. pretty much everything has been filled in, except for sunday night. whenever we get together we always try to get in some kind of a show, and the only "show" in town will be keb mo'. the tickets are pricier than normal, but $'s not really an object.

i'd like to know if any of you would care to admit that you've seen him perform recently, or ever, and if it'll be worthwhile? -- there's a strong possibility of unrhythmic, greying men in dockers from the westside rockin' out.... that i would just prefer not to see.

I saw him open up for Lyle Lovett once. It's about what you would expect - polite bluesy music done about as well and as politely as possible. It certainly won't make you feel any younger.

I like to think that a guy like Keb Mo is just biding his time before dropping a heavy soul record, but I'm wrong about most things.
