I have not had the time to spend with this one yet, but I am a fan and have the album.

David Kilgour - The Far Now(wow, on 1st impression, and I think his other solo stuff maybe as good or better, any opinions?)
Dean & Britta - Back Numbers
Papercuts - Can't Go back
The Broken West - I Can't Go On . . .
Clientele - God Save the . . . (ok, I probably need more time, but I just like this band)

I've only heard 11 albums.

Current no.1 is Richard Swift 'Dressed Up For The Let Down' although by current Konstantirank its merely 15 - 20 material in any normal year.

I just recently got and have only listened once, but based on that I'd say yes, his other solo stuff is better. Here Come the Cars and Frozen Orangeare probably my favorites.

I'm hoping to do a top 20 sometime this weekend, in absurd fashion as I usually do.

As I'm listening to it right now, I think Panda Bear has just taken my top spot.

A friend of mine hooked me up with that Battles album, and I'm looking forward to hearing it. We saw them Sunday night, and they rocked (in their own loopy way).

My list (I think):
1. Panda Bear - Person Pitch
2. Deerhunter - Cryptograms
3. Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity
4. Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?
5. !!! - Myth Takes

close: Ghost, Marissa Nadler

And if I counted Live at Massey Hall as a new 2007 album, it'd probably be my #1, too.

What, no love for Grinderman? That'd be in my top 5 so far, along with !!!, LCD Soundsystem, and some albums I haven't had enough time to listen to yet (MMouse, TLeo, Panda Bear, etc.)...

However, the album I'm most excited for (having heard 3 songs so far) is HLLLYH by The Mae Shi. Those songs are hottt...

Even with my love for both Silent Alarm and "I Still Remember" as a single, Dalen is still the only person I know who likes the new Bloc Party record.
