OutKast: ATLiens

For me, this is one of the real highlights of their catalog. It's got a great minimalistic, languid funk vibe and holds together from start to finish. Along with Aquemini, this seems to be OutKast hitting their peak as far as crafting cohesive albums. Lyrically, they keep an edge without resorting to tired gangsta cliches. By the time they came up with Stankonia next, helter skelter experimentation had taken over, and with some very nice forward-looking results. But, when I want a smooth groove and a laid back vibe, ATLiens is my favorite.
