today i crèmed my pants

i think the most serenely beautiful/ sound-honed album i heard in a long, long time (definitely got a certain loveless like a quality/aesthetic to it, even)

Image

. . .

dont know why i posted this here but i think some of you could be into this. so, um, all hyperbole aside, anyone interested in a totally different/new direction for the kompakt (a label that has been kindda falling off?) sound should check this. i dont really know how to put a riyl on this: its shredded samples flipped n sliced up heavy into thin dizzying pieces, sorrta gliding all up on each other, sliding suddenly shifting etc etc. spacey, fogged out shit thats not really ambient but more trance'd. basically a total trip. well shit sorry about the jizzfest, kindda been waiting for this album forever and it does not disappoint.

the field - everday

when the flipped vocal comes outta nowhere and track morphs

Axel Willner aka The Field will release his debut album From Here We Go
Sublime on Michael Meyers Kompakt label next month. After having
contributed tracks to Kompakt compilations like Over the Ice on Total 7

has been overdue.

For From Here We Go Sublime he chose ten of his best releases reaching
from ambient tunes reminding of early Aphex Twin productions to house,
techno and minimal.

Just bought this album today. Holy crap. This could be the best electronic release of the past few years. Only listened though it once but it is blowing me away. I would recommend this to anyone who has even a passing interest in this genre.

the more i listen to this album the less i like it

the highs are stil good (Sun & Ice, Everyday) but most of it isnt as unique or original as i thought upon first listen

i'm surprised you of all people thought this album was unique or original to begin with, because it's not.

some dope tunes on it, but not nearly as good as the new Gui Boratto album imo.

'good things end' is incredible

this def gets a lil thin if you listen to it too much or end to end, but blasting in small doses it's exhilarating

the gui boratto was okay
