Food-stamps are not designed to be one's only means of acquiring food. They are designed as a supplement to one's personal food budget (when same proves insufficient to provide enough sustenance for the household).

That said, in Milwaukee, the homeless are allowed to purchase from Mc Donald's with their Quest cards. (I don't know about other fast-food outlets.)

I would read PAGES of blog about how hungry he was, and how gross lunch was. It'll remind me of college.
