The Riv, I believe in maybe late '05 or so. They opened for Bright Eyes.

They are basically touring on an album they haven't released yet. The last time I saw them, they played about 6 or so songs that no one knew. Finish the album already, then get out and tour.

I think its a good idea to "Road Test" the material. Play a few shows with some new songs, get some initial reactions...if the songs suck, the fans will let them know.

Well I don't think it's a bad idea to do that, but they've been doing it for 8 months now. And now they are going to do it some more. I've heard of a first leg tour, a second leg tour, etc. But they've been touring pretty consistently since Wet From Birth's release in Sept or so in 2004. Just sayin...new material on CD would be nice.

I read where they have to unanimously decide that they are done with a song and that is what has been taking so long. They are also doing more separate recording sessions I believe and Joel Peterson has been doing a ton of side projects.

They are playing Omaha again on June 14th, so I wonder if they might be releasing something at that point. I'm excited, The Berg Sans Nipple is opening for them.
