I pull out U2's Sort of Homecoming and relish in its beauty and the coming season.

remember to turn those clocks back an hour. Why don't they split the difference at a half hour and leave it be already? Or, is that incorrect math. Educate me people.

good choice for the beginning of the fall...now that i think about it that sound reminds me perfectly of what it looks like outside.

the half hour thing wouldn't work because you'd have to explain it to the stupid people.

and it requires more button pressing than just changing an hour

I don't know about the rest of the world but here Daylight Saving is EVIL. It's dark when you get up, dark when you communte, dark when you get to work and then you get there sit down at your desk and then at 9am the suns starts to come up! Fucking excellent timing! Did they delibrately design this to depress me? Then when you leave work again it's long since been pitch black.

What they should do is move the entire day so we get to actually see some daylight during the winter. Get up go to work at 2AM, clock off at 9AM, leave work to a beautiful sunrise, spend the 'evening' between 9am and 3PM doing whatever you like, IN ACTUALLY DAYLIGHT, then go to bed about 7PM. Bingo! We have optimized our daylight exposure. I'm serious about this!

But daylight saving has nothing to do with the winter. We've just moved from BST to GMT.

And for all those people who think it's useless, be sure to tell me next summer that it's too bright out at 9 PM.

More info here.
