From a couple of nights ago. I've seen the Aurora Borealis up north in the Highlands before but I've never seen them over Glasgow before.

Always keep your digi camera in your bag, you never know what's going to happen!

Wow, Darrin, lucky you! It's my wish to see the aurora borealis at least once in my life before I die.

I saw some a few years ago when visting just outsidse Seattle. My girlfriend and I sat there, catching a cigarette now that the rest of my drunken family had wandered to bed, and couldn't really believe it was happening, not there or then. It lasted about 30 minutes and the both of us were sure we had somehow hallucinated the whole thing. The next morning we told my whole family about the wonderful northern lights we saw the previous night, but of course they didn't believe us. The local park rqanger guy confirmed that the Aurora Borealis are visible from the area, but even more so during September. So to this day I remain convinced we saw them...or had a group hallucination, which is just as cool.

ive seen northern lights so many times that to get me outside and freeze my ass off to look at them they better be pretty damn good. oddly enough, the best northern lights ive ever seen i saw in the rocky mountains in alberta. it was a warm late summer night, and me and some other people must have spent an hour or so watching them. its way better than seeing them in the winter and having to cope with -30 or -40 celsius. actually, yellowknife gets a few hundred japanese (and only japanese, it seems) tourists every winter to come to see only the northern lights, nothing else.

Very cool!

The last time I saw them was from the deck of an oil tanker at 3am after being up all night working on an experiment. I had to confirm with others that I wasn't hallucenating.
