Some people on here have recently mentioned their unemployment status. I'm curious. Who's currently unemployed, and why?

I'm a full time student, but I only go to school from 8am until 11am everyday.

I'm only 18, but I too, am unemployed.

Got laid off from a start-up company last April. I think they went under soon after, which makes me feel great. I was on unemployment from June to Dec. Been very picky about choosing next job.

Next employer is dragging thier feet on hiring me. But luckily I'm scraping by playing gigs every week.

But now I'm kinda looking forward to the 1 year mark. That is if I don't kill myself out of bordem before then.

Even I've got a job right now. And I need to keep it for at least an other two months.

It's kind of crappy cos I'm effectively working for nothing at the moment. All my wages are paying off my debts. I just posted a £312.68 cheque today to my credit card company.

That was a hard envelope to drop in the post box, I can tell you.

"I'm a student."

I could use some work, though. I'll get to looking for it.

Been unemployed since November. Mainly because 52 million assholes decided to vot for some other assholes, and it looks like Dems are in permanent minority status. Also, because I am a lazy drunk who wants things handed to me on a silver platter, and then complains about what is handed to me. (i.e. I ain't takin no campaign not in GA or AL) I have been meaning to do something constructive since the week of January 1st, but really can't be bothered.

I'm unemployed, and have been for a while. I quit my job down in St. Louis and moved back to Chicago because my mom got really sick. So I was just taking care of her and spending time with her the past year. Now I'm finally starting to look for a job again, so I can save up and move back down to St. Louis.

The only thing worse than having a job is looking for one.

It seems like a lot, given that I spent 3 years making payments on my BA before I went back for the PhD and am considered to be 'fully funded' by my current program (and perhaps would be, if I lived almost anywhere else in the US).

Sob.

Anyhow, off to an interview tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be employed in under a month.

I'm unemployed, but that's what happens when you quit.

But as a poor graduate student, I must find employment soon so that I will be able to continue my studies. :(
