I don't think anybody else but me cares that Eisley's first full length, "Room Noises" comes out on Feb 8th.

Yeah, my copy shipped last Wednesday from cd-wow.com so should have it soon. There was a £1 discount code floating around that I posted in another thread so it just cost £7.99 signed sealed and delivered (guess that's about $15 right now).

Where is this thread you speak of? I did a search and could not find any other mention of cd-wow. And where do you live? Is the shipping free only in the UK?

Share the wealth please!

To all SF folks: there were a bunch of used copies of the frames - burn the maps at amoeba last week; they may still be there. I didn't buy it because they were like $15 each.

New Sam Prekop this spring. I got a used copy of the promo at amoeba -- will have a post on this album later.

PRAISE JESUS.

3 cheers for Swervedriver, one of the best and most screwed over bands in the history of great rock music.

Saint, here is the track listing: http://obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=2425

F’n’B here is the web address, but I don’t use them because both time I have the CD’s were made in Asia. Not a big deal to others but bothers me.

CD-WOW is based in Hong-Kong and shipping is free to anywhere. I'm in Califiornia. The default English speaking site is UK-based and so I just pay in GBP since my credit card doesn't charge any extra and the rate is usually better than what they quote if you select a different currency.

http://obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=45472#45472

Here's the discount I used but there should be others floating around. No guarantee this one is still good but it worked for me about a week ago. Good luck :)

http://www.hotukdeals.com/Article504.phtml

BTW, just saw the comment from BeeOK, but mine have always been UK copies. I've probably ordered from them at least 5 or 6 times with no problems, but I'm always going for UK releases.

Just wanted to follow up my last post since I did receive the Mercury Rev and Tindersticks CDs that I ordered about a week ago from cd-wow and they were both made in Europe. The Tindersticks collection is labeled EU and Mercury Rev EC. Only listened to some of the new MR but like what I'm hearing. Kind of similar to All Is Dream so far, but that's OK with me. "Vermillion" is an early favorite, coming at track 5. Kind of a guitar heavy rocker, a little different from the mostly piano based songs that lead off the CD. Comes with a nice, classy, glossy lyric book/liner notes too :)

2/15/05 Releases
http://www.prefixmag.com/features.php?p ... 0bf0abcb1d

LCD Soundsystem
LCD Soundsystem
Capitol
The eagerly awaited debut full-length from the co-ruler of DFA Records finally sees the light of day this week. James Murphy’s pissed-out disco looks to capture the hearts and minds of more than just hipsters with the help of some major-label distribution and some pleasantly distorted beats. To increase the draw, the album comes with a bonus disc that compiles LCD’s past singles, including “Yeah” and “Losing My Edge,” the best song ever to insult three-quarters of its listeners. Not bad for a guy who turned down a chance to be a staff writer for “Seinfeld.”

The Wedding Present
Take Fountain
Manifesto
After multiple breakups and lineup shuffles, the British indie favorites return with their first new album since 1996’s Saturnalia. Their nineteen-year career (if you count a stint in the middle as Cinerama) includes seventeen U.K. Top 40 hits and the rabid support of John Peel. David Gedge and Co.’s new effort was produced by one of Seattle’s grunge go-to-guys, Steve Fisk, but you can expect their broken hearts to be served with a side of atmospheric pop rather than gritty noise.

Busdriver
Fear of a Black Tangent
Mush
Project Blowed’s preeminent jazz-flavored schizo-lyricist focuses his cavalcade of hyphenated styles on an exploration of the underground rapper’s place in the music business. By all accounts, it’s his strongest release to date and quite possibly his most diverse. Daedelus and Danger Mouse headline the producers here, but Prefuse 73 and Nobody contribute bonus remixes as well.

Mommy and Daddy
Fighting Style Killer Panda
Kanine
Don’t expect any fey harmonizing from this boy-girl duo. These pissed-off New Yorkers karate kick you with grimy bass lines and propulsive drum-machine beats while they take turns sneering into the microphone. This EP contains five new fuzzy but strangely melodic tracks guaranteed to new-wave you into oblivion.

Memphis Slim
Blue Memphis and South Side Reunion
Wounded Bird
Wounded Bird reissues a pair of records from the twilight of the late blues pianist’s career. Born and raised in Memphis, John Chatman was an influential and prolific blues man who eventually settled in Europe, where he was treated like the star he was. Both of these albums were originally released during his days as an expatriate in Paris. Blue Memphis features Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, and South Side Reunion features Chicago blues guitar king Buddy Guy.
