This is for those of us not on Soulseek or the other similar-type services. This would be direct Gmail to Gmail. Could you send 'em to my bobsixtysix account at Gmail? Feel free to let me know what you're trying to find, and I'll send you whatever I have.

I know you said that loogcentral wasn't going to work on a go forward basis but are you unable to log on anymore? Because if you can you will find Josh Rouse "Home" there.

Contradiction is right though the one email per song is a painfully slow upload process. I'm not a big fan of filesharing or I would just use Soulseek. What do you have against soulseek Bob?

I logged into loogcentral earlier today, and it has the first Lanegan track on it.

from what i can tell, making soulseek work for mac users is about as easy as calculating pi by hand out to 300 decimal places. am i missing something, or do i need to go enroll in an information technology course so that i might fileshare with soulseekers, as well as gmailers?

np: a prairie home companion (yes- i am 26 going on 64 - and i support public radio!)

Found it and got it...thanks, beeg!

Soulseek just scares me from the whole RIAA litigation perspective. I figure that's probably one of their primary targets these days.

Not being on a Mac, I don't know how good the program is, but it seems like it's getting there.

you think the RIAA is looking into us soulseekers who share among a small group of people that we know and allow into our stuff? major reason i still use soulseek is because i think it's still in many ways u~nder the r~adar

Soulseek allows you to restrict file sharing to the people that are in your list...and since the RIAA is suing people for making files available for upload, you won't have anything to worry about...the RIAA won't be able to see what your sharing, only your fellow Obnish that you've added to your list...in that way, it's not too different from sharing via AIM...there just isn't anyway for the RIAA to monitor what's going on in our closed, little circle

unless they send undercover agents to infiltrate the Obner, but that's getting into Dale Gribble territory
