It was a great match, that fortunately Telemundo covered brilliantly. I don't understand why the US public that is not Latino supporting Mexico doesn't pick up on this. Not televised in English. Barely even made the English language sports pages.

Did anyone see it? The Ching penalty/Donovan penalty shot was a kind of a boderline call... but for the rest of the match the US was the better team. Mexican announcers have lots of fun saying "Ching.." which in English would like saying "Fuc.."

whenever I think of soccer on telemundo, I get the visual of the Simpsons episode where Springfield held a soccer match, and the announcer was boring while the spanish announcer was exciting.

9 of the last 12 against Mexico is impressive. Too bad it didn't translate to any success last World Cup.

Didn't see the final game but went to one of the earlier matchs a few weeks ago... El Salvador v. Guatemala & US vs. Trinidad & Tobago. Its pretty clear how little americans care about soccer when about 1/3 of the stadium left after the Guatemala game.

Of the 60,000 at Chicago for the final, 58,000 were yelling for Mexico... when Telemundo went back to the stadium to show the formal presentation fo the cup... the stadium was almost empty. They actually edited in pics of fans waving US flags from the pre-game.

And it was a great game. The second US goal was a beautiful power shot...

Great game. It was shown in English on Fox Soccer Channel.

The US has handled Mexico with some regularity lately, but the game yesterday was one of the first time the US has came out and attacked against Mexico. Usually, the US wins by playing defense and letting Donovan fly past them on the counter. Yesterday's game was well played by both teams. And, yes, the second US goal was a fantastic shot.

Shame US couldn't have sinished a couple more of the easy chances they had to make the scoreline look a little better.

Next up...Copa America...which is only on the Mexican stations I believe.

Where was the match played?

Isn't the US O for forever against Mexico in Mexico City?

It was in Chicago.

Yeah, Mexico City always get to us. Azeteca Stadium, 2,500 ft above sea level....filthiest polution in this hemisphere...100,000 screaming Mexicans calling for our blood...

We tied them there a few years back, but we've never beaten them there, despite how we've beaten up on 'em for home games and won the games on neutral sites over the last decade or more. I'm hoping we go down there and win one this time around when we meet in World Cup qualifiers.

Elevation 7342. I think you meant meters. 22 million people.
