I absolutely love these long days of summer. The sun sets around 8pm and rises around 5:30am.

Living in a lower latitude, I am rudely reminded of the upper latitude whenever I go to Scotland. The sun doesn't set until close to 11pm and rises around 4:15am. God forbid if you're sleeping in a curtainless room facing the east -- you don't need an alarm when the sun is blazing on your face. Aside from that slight problem, I love the long day.

So, what time does the sun set where you live?

Try going up there in the winter and you'll have the opposite experience. Mid-December in Boston it's dark at 3:30.

I remember this time of year in Seattle last summer it was getting dark around 10. Here in Chicago it's about 8:30ish now.

wife hates the light coming into our bedroom in the mornings. I love late sunsets...how depressing to get up in the dark and come home in the dark. Gah.

In Stockholm week before last, it finally got dark around 11:45 PM, then dawn came at around 3:15 AM. Was pretty strange for me.

Yeah, that's about what it is around here. It sucks trying to go to sleep before that in order to get my 7-8hrs in when I have to be up by 4am on event move-in days. Although it is nice being able to bike in sunlight at 6am.

Rises: 4:45-5am (usually getting up around this time)

Sets: 9pm (ALWAYS in bed by this time on a weeknight, which is weird, and sad)
