Thanks to Donovan (smafty) who sent me this CD as a Christmas present, I am in love. It took me awhile to FINALLY throw it in my player, but ever since doing so, it's been in constant rotation. I think I'm wearing out my "replay" button.

Chad Van Gaalen, a boy outta Calgary -- what is it with all this Canadian talent anyway, have they been hiding? -- recorded his album, Infiniheart, in the bedroom. But don't let that dissuade you from giving it a listen. It's a stellar collection of tunes. And, I'm gonna say it right here -- it's better than what I've been listening outta Sufjan Stevens.

I'm hoping that Donovan can provide a bit more information regarding his fave local artist. For now, I'll just say -- check him out right now. Post your comments and if you disagree with me, I may have to meet you behind the bleachers after school and kick the crap outta you. ;)

I knew you'd like it, Tania! :D

Chad got his start busking around town. He still does it despite the fact he now gets real gigs. He's a very quirky guy; The consummate artist.

Even if you don't like the tracks available on that link, I guarantee you'll find something you'll like on Infiniheart. I'm leaving town... in thirty seconds... but I'll be back Sunday night so that anyone who wants to hear more can grab it from me on the DC++ hub or possibly soulseek.
