I want to buy a CD, but I can't decide which one of these I want to buy. Unfortunately I am broke and can only afford one. Also when you vote tell me why you picked that cd.

I picked Nirvana cause some of their B-sides are much better then their A-Sides. If ya like Nirvana, thats enough reason.

Damn, seriously? That's all you have to choose from?

I chose Incesticide.

if you're going for bad brains, get either the debut or i against i. otherwise, i'd say the nirvana b-sides.

Like Water For Chocolate

But what kind of rap do you like? I simply chose this one because it's my favorite hip-hop album.

Because I'm really behind the times and have no idea whats going on with music right now, plus what I've heard I haven't liked all that much. I also have a long list of CDs that I've been wanting for a while that I'm trying to get through.

You should probably get one of the first three Bad Brains albums instead of that comp.

I've never liked the Libertines or Common much, so I wouldn't recommend those.

I've never actually heard all of Ready to Die, but so many people on the internet have been insisting for so long that it's one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time that I feel like I should probably buy it and listen to it a lot so I can bitch about how overrated it is.

I figure anybody who likes Nirvana at all should have Incesticide in their collection. It's better than Bleach but not as good as Nevermind. It's a worthwhile purchase so that's what I voted for.

I have Common's Be and I like it a lot. I'm into the whole councious MC thing, people like Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, etc.

Yeah, you'll like LWFC.

Also, you might know this already, but J Dilla produced and co-produced a supermajority of the album.

"ready to die" doesn't work as an album for me, but it has 8 or 9 songs that are among the best rap songs ever made, and 1 or 2 of the best songs ever made.

Try Blackalicious, I like him better than Common.

Libertines off that list.

Although I'd rather go for a different Bad Brains, either the self-titled debut or Rock for Light would be good.

Why don't you just steal your music like everyone else and get them all?

good point. I like to have the CDs though, I like having the artwork and liner notes. Also, if I get too much at once then I won't be able to listen to it all properly.

I voted Biggie out of those. But save your money or come up with new choices (and not blackalicious) is probably the best answer.
