Over the years at CMJ/Obner, I've learned about a lot of great music from y'all. (And some not-so-great stuff, too.)
But I wanted to take this thread to give "thank you" to some folks who turned me on to music that I really freaking love and that I may not have ever heard, otherwise. (forgive me if I miss some of y'all):
Billy G: Joe Pisapia, Timbalada
Mojo: The Webb Brothers
Finch Pallate: The Records
Bluestar: Margo Guryan
Dalen: Several from his "Song A Day" page
Timis: Many from his multiple mailings.
Loogs: Drive-By Truckers
(and whomever started talking about The Format)
These are just the first few off the top of my head. I'm sure that I'll be adding more later.
Anyway, thank you.
I can see the parody threads now...

I've recently noticed that all the unfortunate events in the lives of blues singers all seem to rhyme... I think all these tragedies could be avoided with a good rhyming dictionary.
