"While My Guitar Gently Bleeds" is amazing. Take one part acoustic raga and one part psychedelic/guitar noodling and you've got an idea of what to expect. The track Mahavidya is a nice raga along the lines of Fahey or Basho. Beautiful tandems of plucking strings and droning fills your ear canals like a lazy day under the olives. Zurvan is the bridge here on the disc, depite its track number being 1. Zurvan is an acoustic-twinging of the nerves with lucidity that directly leads into the amazing Smashana. Where Zurvan held certain restraints and portrays the album as a complex, yet easy to follow album, Smashana takes the listener for a ride, delving into swirling guitars, and dreamlike progressions.
