My initial thought was "it can't be that America..." and my second thought was "Why?"

America hasn't done magic since Dan Peek found God in '77. But at least his horse has a name now.

Have you heard Iha's solo record?
If you have, it makes sense.

Me too. I did a little digging around recently with all of the Smashing Pumpkins nostalgia sweeping over me recently and found this quite by accident:

Quote:
In February of 2006, a digital EP "In the Sun" produced by Iha featuring Michael Stipe and Chris Martin was released. This ep was for the benefit of Gulf Coast victims of Hurricane Katrina. The song was featured on an episode of Grey's Anatomy. [3]. Also in collaboration with Michael Stipe, Iha played guitar at the Bring Em Back Home concert benefit on March 20th of 2006 in Nyc.

Hmm. Supposedly he's working on a new solo album now too

Anyways, I was able to find his b-sides to Let It Come Down online and listening to it now, I absolutely LOVE it. I guess these got a limited Japanese-only release awhile ago? Definitely recommended. If anybody wants it, send me a PM

Iha is a decent enough song writer, but his voice is nearly as weak as John Mayer's, if not weaker.
