anyone ever have their screen/monitor flip upside down? It's like you're standing on your head browsing the net. It's a PC running Win XP. We tried system restore, and ctrl+alt+up. Any suggestions?

You might want to find the manual for the monitor. It sounds more like a hardware issue than anything else.

Many flatscreen monitors rotate 90 degrees for easier document reading, but I don't know if any rotate 180 degrees.

That's the secret code for our Dell laptops at work. Its fun to cruise by people's desks and flip their screen when they're not looking.

It's not a function of windows nor of the hardware, it's a function of the software that was probably added when you added the monitor. Is there a thing in what would be your lower right corner that says something like "1280x800 AGP" or something that sounds monitor-like? Try right-clicking on that and see if it says something like "orientation" or "horizontal/vertical flip"? I'll look when I get to work tomorrow, if you haven't figured it out by then.
