Do any of you empty your que, and add/ buy things as you want, or do they require you to keep things in the que, so they can keep shipping stuff?

If I remember correctly, they charge you the monthly fee regardless. If you don't have anything in your que, they'll still charge the fee but you won't get anything shipped to you. So it's best to at least keep a couple in there.

Of course, you can always select to purchase things right away and they'll charge the extra fee and ship them right away.

I've got a queue to last me until at least 2009

I'm tired of getting stuff from there that I don't like and am thinking of cancelling. Stuff that I've gotten and don't like are:

Rhett Miller - The Believer
DJ Shadow - The Outsider
Jay Bennett - Magnificient Defeat
Wolfmother - Wolfmother

I'd rather still be a member, but only put things in my que that I really want. I'm waiting for the new Modest Mouse, which I could have bought if I hadn't wasted my money on albums that I didn't like.

I don't see why you haven't been doing that all along anyways.

Seriously. Anyway, I'm going to cancel soon after I get a few more things I really want because I swear they sent me the wrong CD but they claim they didnt' and since it was in my queue they wouldn't take it back.

this month they claimed my credit card was denied so they didn't charge or ship one, and last month they were out of the Sondre Lerche, so they sent me Jay Bennett. Boring. Once I put in my cc number again, it seemed to work.
I keep stuff in my que that I remotely want, and try to put the discs that I really want on top. The discs that i really want are starting to be the discs that I sort of want, and every few months or so there is a disc I need, not sort of want. I guess I could quit and join up again later, but it seems like a hassle.
