Found a post from the future, December 12, 2009. The album titles are remarkably believable, and the brutha is smart, knowing that 13 is a lucky number. Radiohead must have died in a planecrash, however.

Essential Albums of the 2000's
A refresher and reference for the last decade.

by James Cooper 12/12/09

Rather than giving you pretentious and, frankly, stupid reviews of music written by over-analytical bitter depressed people who spend what little is left of their meager energy trying real hard to emulate their idea of a hipster (can we say pitchfork media conglomerate?) I will instead just give you the names of the albums and let you discover what they mean to you on a personal level.

Music is 90% association - nothing sounds the same or means the same to every person (except maybe jeff koons). When I say "essential" I dont mean that these albums are so bland that they will appeal to everybody. What I mean is simply that they have the potential to be important to you. If you dont give them a listen you are robbing yourself of some great potential memories.

I'd have to assume 'Stars & Sons' is formed from the ashes of Broken Social Scene.

There's hardly any rap in the future!

Bush must have elected himself to that third term...

I think we are seriously overlooking:

2006
the Smiths - we're only in it for the gerbils

2007
The Pixies - I Knocked Up My Ho Again (and bills are due)

2008
Various Artists - Issac Dead (Bright Eyes, Zac Hanson and Francis Bean Cobain cover Moderst Mouse tunes)

2009
Francis Bean Cobain - Daddy Was......But Mama, Well She Was.....

Guns 'N' Roses - Chinese Democracy
