New Marah Album -- Angel of Destruction

From the new Marah MySpace:

The new album, "Angels of Destruction" will be released by Munich Records in Europe on January 7, 2008 and on Yep Roc everywhere else on January 8, 2008. The band is a bit disappointed about the pushback but the general consensus was to avoid the crowded fourth quarter. The respective labels will have pre-orders available so there's a good shot you can have it in hands this year (more on that later).

To hold everyone over, in October there will be a digital and limited edition 10" vinyl EP release that includes two tracks from the album and two bonus tracks, one of which is "Rowhouse Row".

Also look for a new Xmas song to be released later this year as well.

Quick update on these guys.

Apparently there will be 2 EP's this fall to tide folks over.

Halloween - "Can't Take It With You" EP

Nov. 13th - "Counting the Days" EP

Both will be available on Itunes and 10" Vinyl.

Coupla things...

1995? 'If You Didn't Laugh You'd Cry' came out in 2005.

I think I was confusing them with some other band, though I don't know which one now, because I was sure whatever band I was thinking of had just put something out at the beginning of this year.

Poet, "If You'd Laugh.." is one of the better albums of this decade IMO. Beginning to end it's solid.

Springsteen meets the Replacements. What's not to like?

Thanks, Derris. I actually do have that one (thanks to the wonderful Mr. Sketch, no less), but for some reason I had thought they came out with one last year (at least).

I definitely have to revisit 'If You...', though. It's been a while since my last listen.

I think I read somewhere that they will be selling the new album at their shows on the upcoming European tour which means it should leak back here, right?
