WTF is Hoboken please? Is it easy to get to from Manhattan, is it far? Be staying at 103rd st & Amsterdam? Never heard of Maxwell's, any good?

hoboken isn't that hard to get to. there used to be a shuttle, but I haven't ridden it for several years.

Maxwell's is a great venue, decent size but nothing huge, and home of those Yo La Tengo Chanukkah shows.

NJ Path train to Hoboken. Simple. Take ya 10-15 minutes tops.

leaves from 33rd street and 6th ave. and more stops going downtown.

I saw The Dismemberment Plan there. I was pretty packed but a fun show. Then I drove like 2 streets down and stayed at the seediest hotel ever.

I don't know why I didn't think of that then. Maybe cos I was drunk and had never been to Hoboken before.

that's where a lot of my NY/NJ pop punk crew plays. i'd like to think since they put on good shows it's a good venue, but that isn't always a hard and fast rule.
