Sorry Max; i forget that there are people from all over who dont always know about things that i take for granted;

The University of Georgia defeated the university of florida this afternoon; this game is a HUGE rivalry game that UGA has unfortunately come up on the short end of alot lately.

The game is played annually at a neutral site (Jacksonville, FL) and is known as "the worlds largest outdoor party".

I am a Gator fan by locale and relatives, but they are gonna see Georgia beat them up for a few years. It is a great rivalry. I respect both teams without ever having a personal stake in who wins.

Now, after UNC topping UM, my school, well, the times they are a changin'. Say goodbye to the salad days 'canes. We wanted a tougher conference, now every game is a tough one, top seeded or not. Berlin can go suck an egg.

Congrats to you, and even more to the folks in Evanston. And hey, Rutgers did themselves proud, taking West Virginia to less than a TD.

so you guys lost an annual game 6 years in a row?

And then you won?

BFD.

Between the Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears, White Sox, and Cubs, we're waiting for our teams to do ANYTHING.

Cubs fans are coming up on a century since we last won a series. A CENTURY. And that my friend, is a long time.

Yesterday was freaking ridiculous in college football. Miami, FSU, and UF lost. Ridiculous.

Just pulled in to my dad's house. Left St. Simon's around noon eastern and drove accross the fat part of GA. Not a bad drive. Nice day, good tunes, windows down, and basking in the glory.

The GA/FL game is truly a spectacle, and much more than "an annual game" Phil. It is one of the most storied rivalries in the country, so big it is played on a neutral site, and referred to as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party"

And muthafuckas WE WON! The mood after the game was mostly elation, but not overt whooping ala LSU. I do have to say that it was a wonderful experience, and am damn glad I made the trip.

Derris can elaborate if he wants.
