Yeah, but I'd still rather have him as Nebraska's coach than Callahan or Charlie Weis at ND.

Absolutely, but that's beside the point, Captain Buzzkill.

LANE MEYAH!! THE ONCE GREAT CHAMPEEN, NOW A SHADOW OF HIS FORMA SELFF!

2 Brothers, 1 speaks no English, the other, only what he learned by watching Howard Cosell on Wide World of Sports.

It's days like today that makes me wish I was a betting man; I saw this Auburn win from a mile away. (Of course, I would have lost the Bama v. FSU game, and that's why I don't gamble)

This over-reaction schtick is classic FT. The Notre Dame "academic standards" are killing you right now, si? Fuck those ACT scores.

I would take Urban Meyer at Washington in a heartbeat, over any college football coach in the nation.

I don't know who I'd say I'd want to coach at LSU over anybody.

Kind of sucks cause I wanted a crack at FLA while they were in the top 5. Tebow might be the first QB to finish a game against LSU this year.

Watched the entire LSU game today and can't say they impressed me much. Granted, likely looking ahead to FLA, though. I thought USC would crush UW and they eeked out a win. Cal with a nice road win, but Oregon was right there. OU, WV and Texas shit the bed. Maybe Ohio St is the best team in the nation?

After today, I can't say there is a definitive dominant college football team.

We totally shit the bed today. In our defense, we're playing with an injured QB and our top and only returning starting receiver is out. We kept the offense completely vanilla in teh first half and the penalities aboslutely killed us.

The game next week will tell alot.

And Kentucky sits atop the SEC EAST. How weird is that?

I'm TOTALLY kidding with this one, of course. Urban Meyer is OBVIOUSLY better than just about every coach in college football, with the possible exception of Pete Carroll and maybe the guy at South Florida.

We shit the bed 34-9.

Come on Florida. The only thing better than a hurt Tebow is a dead Tebow.

Yeah, I don't really think OSU is the best team in CF--my point is, I don't really know who is after this week's games.

That's why I love college football.

I would like to see a playoff rather than these meaningless preseasons polls determine who plays for the national championship---unfortunately that's not going to happen for at least another decade.

What happened to College Football this year? This is the current list of unbeaten teams.

Big East (3) - Connecticut (5-0) Cincinnati (5-0) South Florida (5-0)

Big 10 (3) - Purdue (5-0) Ohio State (5-0) Wisconsin (5-0)

Pac-10 (3) - Cal (5-0) Arizona State (5-0) USC (4-0)

SEC (2) - Kentucky (5-0) LSU (5-0)

Big 12 (2) - Missouri (4-0) Kansas (4-0)

ACC (1) - Boston College (5-0)

WAC (1) - Hawaii (5-0)

Connecticut, Cincinatti, Hawaii, Kansas and Kentucky?
Holy shit, that is like an apocalyptic sign or something.

Now, mind you, I truly hate USC... but Washington with the great freshman quarterback, Willingham starting to build a program, and the home setting of rapid Huskies, was prepared to upset USC and they won fairly handily even though half their O-line went down early with injuries. I think SC and LSU are the two candidates. SC may have trouble with Cal and then lose horribly to UCLA at the end of the year (don't start with me...)... but for now, they are pretty clearly the #1 team in the nation.

Also, ND was so stupid to let Willingham go... I think he's a great coach.

Obviously I disagree.
1) Their defense despite being highly touted is no where near the top 10 and for the last 10 years, every NC has had a top 10 defense.
2) Even Musburger took Pete Carroll's dick out of his mouth long enough ast night to say that JD Booty hasn't been that great. The running game is great though.
3) LSU's defense has been beyond great even though losing one of DT's for the year looks like it is really going to hurt.
4) Trindon Holiday. I think we've just begun to use the little midget.

But we'll see.....

You can chalk up the undefeated Kansas record up to the fact that we haven't played anyone yet. Coach Angina is using the formula that Snyder perfected at K-State in the 90's.
