I have a friend who's birthday is on Valentine's Day. Besides the endless suckiness of that, I am wanting to make this person a mix (yes, it's a girl). However, I don't want it to be related to Valentine's Day. I want it to be good birthday songs. However, I am really having a hard time thinking of any good ones to put on this mix. I know some of you all are quite talented with knowledge base of music as well as with the ability to create mixes. SO....

give me some help please.

If this thread belongs in the mix sextion, those of you who can, please move it there...

The Bealtes - "Birthday"

Gingersol and Imperial Teen both have a song titled "Birthday Girl". Both are good.

And ayah sent me Concrete Blonde's "Happy Birthday", which is awesome.

I would definitely recommend Jens Lekman's Happy Birthday Dear Friend Lisa. Now if her name were Lisa, that'd be quite eerie.

Also, these songs don't have to have "happy birthday" in the title or in the song itself. Just good birthday songs.

I don't know if that makes any sense.

just in case you wanted more Birthday songs you could go with

Atom & His Package - Happy Birthday, Ralph or Happy Birthday (General)

Sugarcubes - they have a song called "Happy Birthday" right?

As someone who is approaching his 33rd birthday on Valentines day, I can attest to the suckiness of this as well.
