Yeah, I'm biased, but my boys in S.A. will bring home the hardware this season in a most serious way. With the addition of Brent Barry, they are going to inside-outside the rest of the league TO DEATH!!!

This is going to be Ginobili's breakout season. Manu WILL be an All-Star!!!

Other predictions:

Neither the Lakers nor the Kings will make the playoffs.

Shaq will play fewer than half Miami's games this year, due to injury and general fat-assedness.

More to come...

The over/under on me getting pissed off and giving up any hopes on the Knicks is Dec 15th.

I thought about the NBA when I read this thread...then vomitted and went to sleep. Stern was/is a fine commish, but w/o NFL style control I think the game has turned to crap. I still watch some playoffs, and would go to a game if someone gave me tickets, but other than that, its just punks and dunks.

FT....why aren't you a Mavs fan if you're a Rangers fan? You Texans really confuse me.

I feel like there's been so much movement this offseason that i really gotta sit down with a season preview magazine to figure it all out.

Here's what I think off the top of my head. Watch out for Denver, if Kmart does well there with Melo, yikes. i don't think they have enough to win the west over SA, Minn, but there's lots there.

It'll be interesting to see how Yao and McGrady mix. I mean it's not like McGrady is gonna pass the ball to Yao anymore than Stevie F. did. Can Van Gundy style reign in McGrady??

Detroit sure looks good in da east.

That's it for now. Looking forward to perhaps seeing more NBA highlights on local Canadian TV, especially with the NHL lockout. I wonder if they'll come through for me??

Unless DirecTV gets their act together and hooks us up with Comcast SportsNet... there will be no Bulls games for us in Chicago. Still debating if that's a good thing or bad thing.

I grew up near San Antonio, which is basically equidistant from Dallas and Houston. Because S.A. has no MLB franchise, I was left to choose between the Astros and Rangers as a child. I was born near Houston, and my parents are also from there, so I went with the Astros. Now that I live in Dallas, I pull for the Rangers. I like the Mavs, but my heart will forever remain with the Spurs.

Yeah, it's kind of confusing. To simplify things, I'm all Dallas now, except NBA. Go Cowboys, Rangers, Stars (if and when the NHL ever comes back), and Spurs (with Mavs as a backup).

Got it?

I disagree with all of FT's predictions other than spurs will be in the thick of it with Minny baring a Duncan injury.

Lakers & Kings will make the playoffs, one of the two will likely make 2nd round

Shaq will have a great year, making Miami the only serious threat in the east to the Pistons although Indiana will have a good record in the regular season

Knicks could make 2nd round but that's more an indication of the weakness of the east than the quality of their team

Phoenix will be the most improved team in the West

Dallas not only won't make the playoffs but might have a losing record at the end of the year

I'm hoping my Sixers surprise a lot of people this year. I like Jim O'Brien as their coach. He's bringing back a defensive minded mentality, something they didn't have last year.

I want the Mavs to do well but they have fucked with that team so much i'll be surprised if it works. Who's gone, who's stayed, who's new?? I can't keep track of that shit at all. I'm a little sad about the whole thing.

My predictions may have been far-fetched, but this is flat-out ridiculous. Devin Harris is a VERY strong contender for ROY, and Dampier gives them the inside presence they've never had. They'll miss Nash's ball-handling and passing, but not his complete and utter lack of defense.

I really need to get over the fact that Vlade is back in LA. UGH. Other than that, the Lakers WILL make it to the playoffs.

Bring it, bitches. :flipoff:

Ha Ha. I drafted Bender a couple of years ago thinking he was gonna have a breakout year. A 7 footer who can shoot threes? That's unstoppable. Then he just sat and sat and sat on that deep bench. He's too skinny and lacks any intensity.

The rest of your list looks shit hot though shiv.
