It did. They asked me to be a stringer. Turned them down because of time problems. CBS and Boston Globe did, too.

There are two Maines, by the way: Portland (with an occasional nod toward Bangor) and every other damn place in the state.

The greater Portland area has nearly half the state's population.

Like Canada, where 174 people live within 10 miles of the U.S border and the other 15 live on an ice-flow in Assiniboia.
