I thought it looked great.
Finally got a crack at the Scarecrow (looks awesome).
Christian Bale is a perfect pick to play Bruce Wayne/Batman

You could do a lot worse than having Morgan Freeman... that guy can elevate crap to respectability like no one else.
I'm optimistic. Wasn't too keen on the tank-like Batmobile at first, but seeing it in the preview started to win me over.

We'll see. Along w/ Star Wars and War of the Worlds it's gonna be a pretty boffo summer movie season.

Of over hyped SUCKOSITY!!

I think they should've gotten Sting (the wrestler) to play him.
War of the Worlds wil be beyond band. Spielberg and Cruise are in a slump, and their last pairing was just plain bad. C'mon, Steve, you and Tom Hanks need to give us that Pacific War Band of Brothers based on Flags of Our Fathers.

Looks pretty great. Could make for a good story-driven action movie.

I haven't enjoyed a single one of the Batman movies and I'm a sucker for the superhero stuff.

War of the Worlds? I don't know what to think. Didn't see Spielberg and Cruise's Minority Report which is odd since I love me some Philip K. Dick. I think A Scanner Darkly is due out this year. Loved the book, but Keanu's involvement is worrisome.

You thought Minority Report was bad?

Looks like a lot of training scenes (they reminded me of The Mask of Zorro, which is shameful both to me and the director), but I'm excited. Good to see Liam Nieson has found his typecast.

i'm vesting a lot of faith in this movie, which almost always blows up in my face. But that being said i think this movie looks fucking awesome. Batman: Year One is such a great book because he's so new at things and is still capable of fucking up royally. I think if the movie can retain some of that it will be incredible.

plus Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon = pretty fucking hard to top.

Agreed. Batman Year one is one of the best graphic novels i've read.
The story of.Gordan is as good as Batmans

Word on the Batman Soundtrack & Standee?
Source: Superhero Hype!
January 31, 2005

'ExtremeBatmanfan' has possibly more on the Batman Begins soundtrack:

I have a followup to my scoop about Green Day being apart of the Batman Begins soundtrack. Well, I have done some major digging around and have found out some more bands that will be on the soundtrack. In addition to the three songs from Green Day (the two newly recorded tracks, and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, the theme to the film), newly recorded tracks from The Cure, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Dave Navarro, Chevelle, and Metallica. Making for a total of 11 songs.

Take that all with a grain of salt until we hear something official.

---------------

I’m a sucker for Batman and think he is, by far, the best superhero. I own every animated cartoon from the original TV series and might buy it all again because it’s now out on DVD. Than you add a Cure song and my life is just about complete.

Ooh, I didn't know this! Gary and Christian in a movie together??? I'll be seeing it. Gary Oldman has to be one of my favorite actors ever!

They can't. Hanks is too busy with The Da Vinci Code w/ all of the Apollo 13 folks and Amelie.

I was optimistic til I saw the HummerBat.

It looks darker than the recent ones - which is good... but getting Morgan Freeman to play a supporting role almost seems like a last resort for respectability.
See "Bruce Almighty", "Dreamcatcher"... (actually don't see them.)

From what I remember, Alicia Silverstone was pretty hot, and the one redeeming thing about Batman and Robin (if there was one)...

I'm pretty psyched about this - I'm trying not to get my hopes up, espec. after the burlap sack of a Scarecrow they cooked up - but maybe that means they're trying for more "realism" with this one...

especially with the 46-wheeler of a sleek Hummer they converted into the Batmobile...

Oh, I agree she waas hot...I prefer a girl with some meat on her bones over the anorexic look...I just remember, that her weight during the movie got more press and publicity then the movie itself...
