 Post subject: the wrens just destroyed the entire city of washington d.c.

now, i was expecting a good performance, but the level of intensity put forth by these older gentlemen at the black cat a few hours ago hadn't been seen by these eyes in i don't know how long. it was absolutely remarkable and unexpected, and, combined with their own reaction, really made me feel like i was witnessing something special. definitely one of the best shows i've ever seen.

the new Even's record is awesome, seriously. I can't stop listening to it. I wish they had east coast shows coming up.

The Evens is Ian Mackaye's new band. Ian plays guitar and sings. Amy Farina (of the Warmers)plays drums and sings as well.
