I use a brush with a rubber handle.

I have that for cats. My cats aren't long-hair, but with three of them it seems they shed continuously. I am amazed at the amount of fur I can pull off of them with that brush in one sitting.

I need to get one of those. My cat isn't long hair but sheds more than any other cat I know, including one or two long-hairs. She also has a problem with furballs/regurgitation.

While on the pet subject...My lady and I got this last week for our wedding shower thanks to her grandmom...My lord is this thing awesome..We have a beagle and a cat, so there usually is hair everywhere..
