Band is called Poor People, i play bass and sing bgvs

RIYL: 70's post punk new wave? Police, Talking Heads, Clash etc...

tentative track list, recorded and mixed to 2 inch analog tape. We'll have to go and re-record the whole album due to a studio mishap, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

All analog to vinyl. Even though we've got master cds, we don't have master tape, got wiped. Plus, these cuts are after 5 gigs, the basics were laid 12/1-2. We've had way more gigs since then, and we're tighter. We're basically turning a bad sitch into a positive.

It's only gonna get better, can't get worse.

No one can live up to a name like that. No one. However, they've been exceptionally good to us, and to all the other bands that go through there.

m4a brother? you're killing me. i wanted to give them a listen but i won't install itunes and besides the library is closing in like 5 minutes so i won't have time to download them all anyway. i'll figure it out though, you'll get an opinion soon enough.

colin got let go and now he's focused on Sweet Lee Morrow, looks like they're getting signed, the other colin was going to move to nyc but didn't, and his solo career is shaping up nicely.

We picked up the pieces and put em back together.

A bump for Phil.
Because this is pretty good new-wave pop. Think Joe Jackson, The Police, and some other stuff like that.

I'm digging this, Phil.
As to the mixes:
I'd like to hear a bit more of the highs... might make the snare crack a little harder and the high hat sizzle a bit more.

As of right now, it's all a bit heavy in the mid-range.

But the songs and the performances are excellent.

Thanks. We ended up retracking it all, I'll post up the new takes when they're done. It already sounds better unmixed than these previous mixes.
