It is? It came in my KCRW newsletter. I just liked the fact that some of my fave artists covered old love songs. Maybe I should go to Starbucks more often.

Yeah it is.

And oddly enough, it's pretty damn incredible. I bought it about three weeks ago for the JA cover of the Smiths song. A song he always does live and does amazing.

But everything else on it is fab. Definitely worth picking up.

That Calexico cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" has to be interesting.

6.
How Can I Tell You (Cat Stevens), GARY JULES
from the album Sweetheart: Love Songs

i heard this on the radio and liked it at first but by the end of the song i wanted to laugh at it. it seemed like he was making fun of cat stevens' droning on (lu-hu-hu-huv you.) i really think it depends on my mood because i like gary jules/tears for fears A LOT. i have no heart.

KEXP has been playing quite a few of the songs off of this. The Calexico version of Love Will Tear Us Apart is way too upbeat. I mean seriously, it's a Joy Division cover. Aside from that I really like the cover of Let My Love Open the Door.
