Anybody heard this one yet? How does it compare to From the Filthy Tongues...? Anybody want to hook me up via YSI with either of them? Thanks.

Yea I guess you are right.

Chucky, I can put up From the Filthy Tongues... and also their album with Faust from last year Der Respect, Alder tonight if you want. Though I guess fancypants already said he could do Filthy Tongues.

I downloaded Absence, and loved it upon first listen, so I ordered it and am now awaiting it in the mail.

Any chance I'd like this if I don't really like Filthy Tongues?

I think I like some older Dalek stuff before that.

Seen this album mentioned more lately, and I'm still curious even though my copy of Filthy Tongues has been collecting dust...

Any opinions (comparative to their previous stuff)? Anyone wanna hook me up?

The new album is excellent, but just a little too "samey". It's still one of the best releases of the year though.

Distorted Prose is one of the best hip-hop tracks I've heard in....well, ever.

i love it. i think that it's closer to metal or shoegazer than it is to hip-hop. coincidentally this came up a few times on the ipod on the way home from work.

I like it a lot...I've never been a huge metal fan or shoegaze fan, and when listening to it I admittedly enjoy the parts that lean more towards hip-hop...I dunno, maybe I'll grow to love the noise.

I agree...it's a cross between Sonic Youth and Loveless, and regular hip-hop.

Listened to this for the first time since the beginning of the year. I think I like it more now. It's still a little too much to digest in one sitting, and I know where the people who say it's too samey are coming from, but it's really quite sonically amazing. Venomous lyrics over an apocalyptic grind with some nice scratching. 'Ever Somber' is totally a shoegaze song.
