So what's there to do around there besides Disney World, Parks, Etc.

I'm going there with my family in September and need to do some drinking.

There's "Downtown Disney" or some shit there, but I haven't been. Some friends of mine went when we went to Orlando a couple of years ago, but I don't think they liked it too much. It's basically a bunch of bars and stores and stuff in downtown Orlando, I think.

Seriously though, I think Orlando has to be one of the worst cities in this country. Probably one of the best things you can do is go to the "different countries" part of Epcot center and have at least one beer in every "country". Being drunk in Disney World is both horrible and kinda fun.

I was there a few weeks ago for a wedding with my family. The downtown bar scene isn't awful, but it is kinda skanky. There's something at Universal with bars and restaurants kinda like Downtown Disney, but I didn't do it. Looked like tourist-y. It wasn't awful, but I wasn't looking to get crazy with my parents or anything. Mainly it was just relaxing.

Paradise Island.

It's garbage. They charge a cover. I wish to god I didn't know that.

Head east on Route 50 till you hit Titusville (just shy of cape canaveral). Eat at Dixie Crossroads. Pass out. Repeat.

Have breakfast on US1 at Steve's Diner in Titusville.

Return for lunch and dinner at Dixie Crossroads.

I basically recommend just riding Space Mountain over and over.

My nephew and niece are going too and they already know I'm going so they'll be bummed if I don't go now. Plus, I haven't really had a vacation this year and don't think I can afford to go anywhere on my own so this is it.

Florida bums me out, Orlando worst of all. Flat, sandy, awful people, no history / culture / density... more stripmalls than you ever knew existed.

it's, for the most part, full of sorry ass British tourists, white trash tourists from other parts of the country that have saved their life savings to come visit Disney, and those that just can't escape, like my girlfriends parents.

dude, no reason to say sorry, as i hate most of this state, and the fucking NY'ers that live here. South Florida is really the only part of the state worth anything. amazing food, gorgeous women, pure coke, beautiful beaches. paradise my niggas.

those three are all within a few blocks of each other on orange ave. downtown. next to the social is a place called bar-b-q bar. . . it's been a while since i've been there but it was my favorite place downtown. it has a middle east upstairs/bukowski vibe. plus they have a photo booth.
