fri: headed out on the town with a group of coddled know-nothing west coast types when it comes to women -- and generally everything. we end up walking half way across downtown to a bar where 95% of the women are not even six pack hot, and dumb as shit. And the other 5% now hate me.
sat: tie up loose ends, bye for the badgers, prepare presentation, tonight probably head back downtown with camera in tow this time.
sun: packers, presentation,

Sat: Lotsa random type errands (oil change, bank, Costco, post office, etc.) and cleaning up the apt. after neglecting it in the tornado leading up to my best friend's wedding last weekend.

Sun: Working so I can cram five days in before ACL Fest starts on Friday. Then going to some Darfur benefit thingy put on by a gal at work who I'd like to introduce of The Nation of Chad, if you know what I mean.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but you'd tell me to go shopping if you saw the piss-poor condition of the clothes that I wear to work.

The big event is a friend turning 21, so we're going to the classy bar downtown. Fun times.

Today: At work at 8 am. Rallied the troops for door knocks.
Home now, watching Bama, contemplating eating and what to drink.

Last night: Muiscal rehearsal last night
Today: FINALLY getting Ubuntu to recognize and use my damn sound card. Sort through a month's worth of mail & bills. Prep for sister's arrival.
Tomorrow: Meet sis at the airpot. Pick up rental car and head off to Wales (with a shower/packing stop at my house).

Friday: I went to the Slumber Party Records showcase show for the Lincoln Calling Music Festival. There were alternating shows between an upstairs and downstairs stage. Capgun Coup, Baby Walrus, UUVVWWZ and Columbia vs. Challenger were the notable acts.

Tonight: I may crash early and avoid going out. If I do, I will attend The Show is the Rainbow with Pharmacy Spirits and Boo and Boo too. It is another Lincoln Calling show, but at a different venue.

Sunday: I have to build a stage and sound mix platform for the Buckcherry, Shinedown and Saving Abel show on Monday

Sunday Night: Attend the Pattern is the Movement show with Mr. 1986 and Mariannes.

I wish. Have a brief due Monday. So I 'm working furiously to get it finished. Then I'll start mainlining bourbon to hit the appropriate drunk levels for game time.

Cool. Y'all recovering from the damn Hurricane? A buddy of mine had a tree go down right on his house.

My parents are still crashed at my apt from having no electricity after Ike. So, I'm trying to keep them entertained. Couldn't hang out with them much this past week. They're expecting to have electricity on Monday per Centerpoint's Web site, but they're planning to leave Austin then regardless since they have been able to make alternate arrangements in Houston.

Shaping up to be an exciting one here.

We made out pretty well and things are mostly back to normal for me. It was an eye opening experience because Baton Rouge has long been considered pretty insulated from hurricanes but this was pretty rough. I had 3 friends take trees into their houses. One's damage was so much that the house has to be torn down to the slab.

I'm drinking Caesars and smoking all day. That's pretty much it.

Fri nite: tennis, little party at a friend's place
Sat: tennis match with a pubescent kid: I beat myself; now smoke a joint, BBQ, maybe learn how to bike with my new clipless shoes (ie. unclip); laundry
Sun: breakfast meeting with Daedelus; Ninja Tune Piknic Electronik with Daedelus, Bonobo and Ghislain Poirier, all day bay bay; Game 5 of 5 in the Phoenix vs. Dynasty semifinal, do or die; celebrate

Going out to see Detroit Cobras tonight...if I can get that 19 year old stripper past the door guy anyway.

I bought some pants and jeans but they were on sale. Then I went to see "Burn After Reading" and had some drinks after that.

Edit: Now I just "won" a $25 Lou Malnati's gift certificate in a stupid pirate-themed radio trivia contest (I was actually the runner-up - the winner got $75)
