I just noticed in some of our local government buildings here they pulled the metal detectors and security details when entering. Also, the dreaded Terrorist Threat Color Board was not to be seen.

Hmmm, I just went in to pay a ticket, and they have the whole rigamarole set up. I even had to walk back to my car because of a teeny knife on my keychain w/ a 1.25" blade.

I was just in a courthouse--I didn't even need an ID. The closest thing to security was a deputy telling people to keep their hands out of their pockets.
