I wrote a poem once called "sunday rhymes with suicide". I can't remember any of it. Discuss (quietly).

Best hangover song EVER. Written by K. Kristofferson. Performed, most famously by John R. Cash.

Sunday Morning Coming Down

Well I woke up Sunday morning,
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes,
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
An' I shaved my face and combed my hair,
An' stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my brain the night before,
On cigarettes and songs I'd been pickin'.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid,
Cussin' at a can that he was kicking.
Then I crossed the empty street,
'n caught the Sunday smell of someone fryin' chicken.
And it took me back to somethin',
That I'd lost somehow, somewhere along the way.

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cos there's something in a Sunday,
Makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin',
Half as lonesome as the sound,
On the sleepin' city sidewalks:
Sunday mornin' comin' down.

In the park I saw a daddy,
With a laughin' little girl who he was swingin'.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school,
And listened to the song they were singin'.
Then I headed back for home,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringin'.
And it echoed through the canyons,
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cos there's something in a Sunday,
Makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin',
Half as lonesome as the sound,
On the sleepin' city sidewalks:
Sunday mornin' comin' down.

If you're awake at 9:30am and have a hangover, your hangover isn't bad enough for complaining. When I'm hungover, I sleep in until noon...at the very least.

Actually, you know nothing of real hangovers, then. When I'm SUPER hungover, I wake up, and have NO chance of going back to sleep. It is the worst feeling ever. You really, really want to sleep, but you just can't But you can't pay attention to anything either, so TV, music, the internet or reading are all pointless. This usually only happens to me when I hit the liquor real hard. Many times, the only solution is to force yourself to get drunk again to go back to sleep.

Also, known as "Standard Modus Operandi".

"Sunday Morning Coming Down" is quite good but it can't hold a candle to the Johnny Taint and the Cans of Piss hit "Monger til it don't hurt no more".

Loog, chords for this song have been written.

Not snowing. Not snowing.

I consider what came last nite to be a communal snow-cone -- the heavy, wet not rain, nor hail, that comes at the end of winter when temp is about thirty, but climbing, but not enough to make it liquid.

I like to eat it.

The end.

Well, I guess no one can stop us now. We are all made of Gar.
