So my brother came home this weekend from college and we want to see a movie today. For those who've seen either, what are your thoughts? I'd like to see a comedy, but I also like those silly sci-fi movies too.

The doll in Constantine is cute, but, come on, it's Eva Mendes. Go with Hitch.

* I cannot vouch for any other content of the films in question. Only saw a few (clutch) moments while sneaking viewing time yesterday at the theatre, when I should have been ushering (sweeping the main foyer, toilets, etc.).

Hellblazer was one of my favorite comics, but constantine is getting good reviews from really shitty places. i've a feeling that it's one of those adaptations that doesn't please anyone. still, going to see that has to be easier than explaining to your father that both you and your brother are yogurt-loving rollerbladers.

By what standard did my response merit the belligerence above? Granted, maybe there is an appearance I am taking the passage you produced too seriously, but even if in jest, the jest (or part of it) in the piece has to arise from the expression "yogurt-eating rollerbladers". Further, your implication that it would be improbable for two males, without female accompaniment, to see Hitch and still please their father(s), I have to assume you are implying that to do so (be male, and with another male, go to a Hitch viewing) would be queer.

mmmkay?

I saw Hitch last night with my girlfriend. It wasn't bad for the genre, but I'm really not the Romantic Comeday type. There are some good laughs, but when it comes down to it, it's pretty sappy.

We ended up seeing Constatine. It was pretty good, and Keanu still seems to be stuck in Neo mode. 8)

That's because Keanu can't do any other 'modes'.

The best in Constantine was near the end when Keanu says,

"I(long pause)have(long pause)something for you."

Also, when he speaks, it seems like he is trying to do some Clint Eastwood impersonation. It's weird. He's horrible.

And, because I am a movie whore and have seen both. I think both are on equal levels of "worthwhile to see". Meaning, they're both of the same quality, just different genres. And claiming that Eva Mendez is significantly more attractive than Rachel Weisz is just plain insanity. They are different genres of women, just like the movies. If I was faced with the situation, which I often am, of choosing a woman like Rachel or Eva, I choose both. It's an impossible decision to make. haha

I just got back from seeing Constantine.

K. Reeves was a terrible casting pick to play this character.

The CGI was just plain awful at times. Some of the demons looked like shit out of Men In Black.

It was so bad that I walked out.

The last film that I walked out on was when I saw He-Man (Dolph Lundgren).
