I went and got a haircut at lunch and they were playing the much-hyped Kasabian record. I have to say I found it distractingly bad. Third rate Primal Scream imitators.

I thought it was good on first listen, but after repeated, I agree with you. Pretty repetitious and uninspired.

I'm looking forward to seeing 'em. And like them. 'Sides, what's wrong with Primal Scream?

I like Primal Scream, this sounds like a third rate Primal Scream to me. I have heard so much about this, and KEXP has been playing it like mad, so I was pretty interested, but what I heard today really turned me off.

I saw the video, and it seemed ok, but I could definitely see how the album could be just meh.

Huh. I really like this album.

Especially the songs Club Foot, Beneficial Herbs, and Reason For Treason.

i have heard the same. unfortunately, they're stuck opening for the music on this US tour. hopefully, they'll be on the road with a better band the next time.
