10th anniversary show with 23-piece orchestra in NY

Dear Friends,

As some of you may have heard, we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary with a special concert backed by a 23-piece orchestra conducted by Jeff Milarsky. The show will take place for one night only at the Society for Ethical Culture Concert Hall in New York City. This is actually our first time in our career to perform with additional instrumentation and we are excited to do this for the release of our newest album, Hymn To The Immortal Wind. It will be our only North American concert in support of Hymn To The Immortal Wind so please come join us on 5/8 in New York City. We are looking forward to share our new music live with all of you.

this song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2aa1tEh82I

amazon has it listed by songwriter for some reason

sounds dated now that i listen to it again after a decade, but i still really like the dusty-springfield-via-j.s. bach melodic motif

at any rate, you are right. this is nowhere near the same band

it most certainly isn't. I recommended (japan) mono to someone once. They liked a few songs and decided to go purchase an album and instead came back with music from the other Mono. Not the same band, music, or anything! haha For whatever reason, there are two bands with the same name and no apparent lawsuits.

How many tickets do you think would be available for this? Do I really need to buy tickets for it now since it is not for another 5 months?

Dri and I saw them last year at a sold out Bowery Ballroom (Capacity - 600 i think).

with this being a special show, i wouldn't be shocked if tix went relatively quick...

i guess you can wait, but i wouldnt wait to week of....

next time I speak to the owner of their label ill ask about sales...

please do. I am just nervous about committing right now because that's my last week of the semester and don't want to just leave town if I have huge projects due or that are incomplete, etc.

HOLY AMAZING SHOW!

Due to demand, a second was added. We went to the first show which was moved to the NY Society for Ethical Culture Concert Hall @ Central park West.

We were blown away and my wife was in tears (the good kind) at several points of the show....

I spoke to tthe owner of the label later on, and he said that they recorded both shows and it is possible, if the footage is good enough, it may turn up on a release! *fingers crossed*
