The last one was supposedly pretty good but I didn't give it a chance because 'Smile' sucked.

(Edit) I loved 'Tomorrow the Green Grass' and 'Hollywood Town Hall' but was sorely disappointed with 'Smile' and never went back.

Damn. this hits pretty hard. Justa few days after seeing him and Mark. Fuck. That sucks bad. LOVED the last album. And Tomorrow The Green Grass cannot be fucked with either.

This is disappointing but not totally unexpected. I absolutely loathed Smile and felt that the last album was dull, dull, dull. The 3 albums before that cannot be fucked with, especially Hollywood Town Hall.

Weird, 3/4 of the people who posted in this thread don't post on the board anymore.

2 things:

1. Did anyone make it out to the recent reunion tour dates?
2. If you type in "Jayhawks" into the promotional blank on Amazon you get $2 off the 2 new Jayhawks reissues. "Tomorrow The Green Grass" is a 2-disc'r and comes to $12.99 after. Not too shabby.

This has been yr Jayhawks PSA for the morning.

they are playing here this week. i might go to hollywood town hall night. i've heard good things. however, i also hear that they've been working on new material and olson said somewhere (can't find the link at the moment) that it was some of the best stuff they've done. we'll see about that...
