It's a dual tribute to both Salvador Dali (who co-directed the movie with Luis Bunel) and The Pixies, whose song "Debaser" was inspired by that movie. ("Got me a movie I want you to know/Slicing up eyeballs I want you to know")

I've always had a great appreciation for the surreal.

Poptodd uses an image from some movie I've never even heard of and I go with Ralphie.

I feel so unintellectual.

Sorry Poptodd, but I prefer the other ones I've seen listed in this thread.

Slicing up eyeballs, uh-huh-huh-huh

Do you like mine? It's my youngest son, Finn. I think I'll change it up every so often.

I love your avatar -- very cute!

I'm just hesitant to post pictures of my guys on public portions of the internet. Not that I'm not insanely proud, I'm just a paranoid dad.

Ah! A film that can inspire nausea in me just hearing it mentioned! I have a copy on video tape, and I made a strong-stomached friend erase that shot so I can watch the rest of the film.

Must remove image from brain through the use of fat kittens...

Image

That's better.
