as you might guess from my user name, i went with Neil

Dylan was better in 60's
Neil was better in the 70's
Neither was great in the eighties
and from then on Neils been more impressive late career

also, its always clear what Neils driving at with his songs, which i like, and thats not always the case with Dylan

I'm sorry but I just can't force myself to choose between them. No vote from me.

I chose Dylan because I've been a fan of, and respected the work of, Dylan longer than Young. I love each though and play both tons, so this was pretty tough.

yeah i might backtrack what i said there - was going more on what the critics feel about Neil's 80's. But LOW, Life, Trans, the Bluenotes and of course Freedom do have some gems on them.

While I love Dylan, for the most part I've just never felt any emotional connection to his songs. I just believe Neil more. Also, as I've said recently, the Dylan Mythology is fucking bullshit.

Neil.

As mentioned by others above, Neil feels genuine and you believe everything he says. Dylan (hell, that's not even his real name) is so phony and pretentious.
