The Constantines have unveiled a digital companion EP for their 2008 full length Kensington Heights. Recorded at the Bathouse Recording Studio in Kingston, Ontario, Too Slow For Love features four alternate, stripped down versions of tracks from Kensington Heights, an a rework track from both Tournament of Hearts and Shine A Light. The set is rounded out by a cover of "Strange Birds" by the Sadies and Jon Langford (the Mekons / Waco Brothers). Click below for details on the EP, which is currently available packaged with Kensington Heights for a cool six bucks from the Arts & Crafts webstore.

The release comes in time for this year's revival of the Rolling Tundra Revue. That cross-Canada tour, co-headlined by the Weakerthans, kicks off this Thursday in St. John's Newfoundland.

Young Lions (Stripped down version, originally from Shine A Light)
Shower of Stones (Stripped down version, originally from Kensington Heights)
Conductor (Stripped down version, originally from Tournament of Hearts)
Our Age (Stripped down version, originally from Kensington Heights)
Strange Birds (originally by Jon Langford & The Sadies)
Do What You Can Do (Stripped down version, originally from Kensington Heights)
I Will Not Sing A Hateful Song (Stripped down version, originally from Kensington Heights)

Please PM if anyone wants to drive me to Winnipeg for this tour.

I going to see them, but I'm more excited to see the Weakerthans. I've seen the Constantines twice in the last year or so. That EP doesn't look too exciting either.

Yeah, same with my friend. She actually didn't even mention the Constantines, just that she's going to see the Weakerthans back to back.

I agree that the ep looks pretty dull. I like new material instead of re-worked old stuff.
