...Darius Rucker appears in a Burger King commercial dressed up like a cowboy. Sure sign of the apocalypse? Or just the arrival of a tasty new meal at the King.

this is easily the strangest commercial i've seen in years. first of all, this new king is totally creepy. secondly, this burger king-tinged version of "big rock candy mountain" is a little bizarro. and then there are the girls. i... don't know what to think of it, but it certainly did get my attention.

I bet when everyone saw that commercial they said "HOOTIE!" I did like Brooke Burke in it, though.

I wasn't sure it was Hootie. I mean, it looked like him but it didn't sound like his voice. One of the weirdest things I've seen in a while.

The "waking up with the King in bed" commercial was more disturbing.

I hate that new commercial. I think it's the surest sign that the world is exploding. First of all it was just strange strange strange. And I'm sorry but it was early evening and the girls were all dressed like strippers and gyrating like such.

I'm not a prude but damn I'm sick of all these ad execs putting half naked chicks in EVERYTHING. Jesus.

I haven't seen this commercial. Isn't seeing Darius Rucker in a BK commercial counter-intuitive?

I saw it, and it was indeed disturbing. 'Twas all I could do to keep the High Life from coming out my nose.

What's the pitch session for that like? "Ok, Darius, we've got a Great one for ya!! Ok, you're walking around in a cartoon-like cowboy sorta landscape, and there are strippers, and one of the strippers is Brooke Burke! Get it? Brooke Burke... you know, from the... wild on... show..."

I definitely don't think it was selling burgers, I did think for a moment it was selling some chick's butt. Seeing as she kept sticking it in Cowboy Darius's face a lot.

My co worker has been playing that commercial off of the internet and getting the tune stuck in my head. I don't even want to think about it.

However, if it were selling some chick's butt...

I completely agree.... especially when he slipped the guy a sausage (croissanwich) at the end to make him happy...

Damn, Johanna called it, but I refused to believe it is him.

He could be the most "white" black guy ever.

Edit: yeah the king in the bed one was creepy and hilarious all at the same time.
Their advertising company needs to lay off the drugs.

Then again we're all talking about their ads, right?
